I simply won my first baking contest! Jumping for joy!
The contest was for Nordic Ware where you'd to employ a Bundt Pan and bake something that represented heritage and tradition. The grand award winner gets to head to NYC and tickets towards the Martha Stewart show for Bundt Skillet week! I learn next week, therefore I'll maintain you posted.
I won with a Chocolate-Coconut and Pumpkin Marble Bundt Wedding cake. I topped it with chocolate and toasted coconut. It was incredibly delicious and moist. You can view it here.

Pumpkin Pop tarts? Yes, please!
Pop tarts were the very best breakfast if you were a kid. I always acquired mine warm and toasted. A real sugars high before school, but always a favorite.
Pop tarts that flavor like pumpkin pie_ You already know I'm obsessed.
They are actually rather easy to create too! I utilized a basic pie dough recipe to make the outside crust.
Then I mixed together just a little pumpkin, cream cheese,brown sugars, and spices.
I spread a little onto the dough.
I topped with more pie dough and seal the edges having a fork.
Of course, poking the middle for ventilation is crucial and cute!
These lovelies were brushed with a small melted butter. I stared at how gorgeous they were for quite sometime.
Baking time!
The house smelt like pastries and pumpkin pie. They arrived gorgeously golden brown.
Today who could forget the best part?
Maple Cream Parmesan cheese frosting! Oh heaven, this is good drizzled on top.
I decided they were as well sugary for me at breakfast period. They just screamed dessert.
Arctic No had sent me a pint of Pumpkin Spice Glaciers Cream that paired perfectly with my warm Pumpkin Pop Tart.
I used to be surprised at how healthy this is. 150 calories for the WHOLE pint!
It's not actually ice cream but similar to a frozen proteins shake. Tastes exactly like ice cream though and it's gluten-free. They will have a great variety of flavors to choose from. I love peanut butter chocolates flavor A WHOLE LOT. Strawberry was fabulous as well. You've gotta try out this stuff!
Get on the pumpkin bandwagon and make these!
Pumpkin Cream Cheese Pop Tarts
1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter, chilly, trim into cubes
1 large egg
2 tablespoons milk
For the Pumpkin-Cream Cheese filling:
3/4 cup pureed pumpkin
1 large egg
1/2 teaspoon of cinnamon
Maple Cream Parmesan cheese Glaze:
1 tablespoon of maple syrup
Dash of cinnamon
In a medium dish, whisk flour, cinnamon, sugars and salt collectively. Devote a food processor chip and add the cubed cool butter. Pulse until it resembles small peas.
In another small bowl, beat the egg with the milk. Add the egg mix to the food processor with the dough. Pulse until simply mixed. Spread some flour on a surface area and knead the dough until it all fits in place well. Separate into two balls, cover in plastic, and place in refrigerator for approximately 30 minutes.
While dough is chilling, line 2 - 9×13 cooking pans with parchment paper and pre high temperature oven to 350 levels F.
