Then to create matters worse, I watched THE MEALS Network again. These were playing Crimson Lobster advertisements which nearly triggered me to drool on myself. I assume you could state my cravings had been pretty ridiculous; then again it was probably my own problem for watching Diners, Drive-ins, and Dives.
There is very good news though: I truly feel incredible and since I enjoy sharing my discoveries together with you, I journaled my experience with the cleanse. I plan on publishing it sometime this week. Perhaps it will inspire you, too!
Okay plenty of chatting, may we reach the muffins?
I baked these the day before I started juicing plus they were completely great tasting, moist, and filling up. Plus they're heart-healthy and I've kept calories in check by adding the following:
Applesauce: I replaced the usual oil in the muffins with applesauce, which helps helps to keep them moist and gives them handful of sweetness with out a ton of added sugars. I absolutely like the texture of these!
Almond Dairy: I really like baking with almond milk because it gives handful of fat to your muffins without adding calories. It's also generally fuller in persistence vs regular dairy and retains muffins moist!
Oatmeal: There's oatmeal both in and together with the muffin; it gives it an oaty taste and also provides fiber and proteins.
WHOLE WHEAT GRAINS Pastry Flour: We opted to utilize whole wheat grains pastry flour as it's a lot lighter than regular whole wheat flour. It can help the muffins from turning dense. You can even use regular flour or all-purpose gluten-free!
Cinnamon: Applesauce and cinnamon compliment each other perfectly and put great taste! Oh and did you know studies show that cinnamon helps to regular blood sugar? Win!
Walnuts: They're are high in Omega-3 and great fats, so they'll help with keeping you total all morning long. Remeber not to hesitate of the good fats!
Blueberries: A super fruit filled with antioxidants and absolutely gorgeous in muffins. They are filled with juicy blueberries that burst in your mouth!
My favorite part (aside from the juicy blueberries) may be the walnut-oat streusel; it's a little bit crunchy and lovely. I LOVE that all muffin is only 172 healthy calorie consumption and packs 5g of protein; trust me, they're filling! Oh and theses babies may also be freezer-friendly so you can get one, reheat, and go!
We ate mine warm and spread with almond butter along with a drizzle of honey. Enjoy!

To make the topping: In a little dish combine oats, walnuts, flour, butter, and cinnamon.
Sprinkle 1 heaping teaspoon more than each muffin. Bake muffins for 15-19 a few minutes or until toothpick inserted into center arrives clean or with a few crumbs attached.
