Just wanted to say Hi!
« le: Avril 15, 2020, 05:28:29 »

I understand today is supposed to be Wellness Wednesday, but I'm going for a little break until the New Year. No worries - I'll be back next week with a new WW post; I understand I've been away for some time! I'm guessing most of us probably have. This season is such a wonderful time to simply kick up the feet, read a fresh book, and just enjoy family period. And basically every cookie in sight.
That said, I've done my fair talk about of eating, taking in, and cooking. Tony's birthday was the other day and I experienced the pleasure of earning him a edition of King Arthur Flour's deep dish pizza , after that homemade French Silk Pie for dessert. Swear to goodness, it had been the best food I've ever made him. The pie was perfect. I really experience awful about not really posting the formula, but it addittionally seems a bit wrong to throw a dessert filled with butter, cream and chocolates when we are all trying to eat healthy again. What do you consider? If you want the formula, I'd be happy to ensure it is again and photo it. Let me know!
Next up! I also celebrated my birthday in Chicago last week. (So yes, you can view how I've been so busy beyond your blog.) In the morning hours of my birthday, Tony took me to brunch after that we went to a no-kill animal shelter; per usual I needed to collect all the pet cats. He also got me the cutest Michael Kors handbag which I put on everywhere now. Afterwards that evening, we went out to dinner and then to a display. Overall, it was a really fine and comforting birthday.
This in a few days I'll be diving back to baking and cooking. I'm looking to shy away from too many cooking recipes, nevertheless, you understand it's my favorite move to make. Overall I've some really fascinating things planned as well as perhaps some fresh features on your blog, too!
Okay, so popcorn time. This recipe was apparently therefore delightful that Tony ate a whole batch in a single night. YEP_ ONE Night time.
I actually don't blame him. I'm an enormous fan of special and salty popcorn. WHILE I was small my mom used to drizzled peanut butter at the top of our snacks, so that's what really inspired this formula. It's similar to caramel corn, except not as crunchy rather than overly special. I skipped the corn syrup and opted for honey instead; some bacon is also added to the formula because hello - peanut butter and bacon is the most magical combination. EVER.
This popcorn would be a wonderful addition to your New Year's appetizer table, or perhaps even for a little Weekend night football action. In any event, I hope you like it. And of course, the delicious chocolate drizzle is totally optional. If you wish to keep it off, that's perfectly fine. The popcorn is going off the chains. You can even make this a combination by incorporating pretzels and peanuts, or whatever you may get your hands on. I am hoping you have a safe and sound and happy new year. Xoxo.
Prep time:
10 mins
Cook time:
20 mins
Total time:
30 mins
Ingredients
3 tablespoons honey
4 pieces prepared bacon, prepared and finely chopped
1/4 teaspoon sea salt, plus much more to taste
For the drizzle:
Instructions
Pop your popcorn with whatever method you choose. You can use low fat microwave popcorn or atmosphere popped popcorn. Place half of the snacks in a large bowl.
Within a saucepan heat honey, brown sugar and coconut oil on medium until everything is melted and sugar is dissolved. Add cooking soda pop, vanilla and peanut butter and mix for 30 secs or until mixture is warm. Stir in bacon pieces. Turn off temperature and pour fifty percent of the caramel sauce on snacks in pan. Add all of those other snacks and peanut butter caramel sauce and fold snacks over until it's mostly covered with sauce.
Sprinkle sea sodium over caramel snacks and again fold over.
Immediately remove popcorn from baking pan and spread equally about wax paper. If you choose to do the chocolate drizzle: Place the chocolates potato chips and coconut essential oil inside a microwave secure dish for 20-30 secs, stirring until chips are all melted. Drizzle melted chocolate all over caramel corn and invite to harden for 20 moments. It is possible to place the snacks within the refrigerator for a few minutes to help harden the delicious chocolate a bit. Popcorn is good for 3-4 days stored at room temperature inside a box or plastic bag. Acts 8. About 1 glass per serving.
To make this formula vegan: Omit bacon. Use brownish rice syrup instead of honey, and make sure chocolate can be vegan.
You can replace dark brown sugar with coconut sugar, I'm confident the outcomes would taste similar.
Happy belated birthday and happy new year!
